Why travel with words?

Language is the heart of understanding, the soul of creativity, the mind of problem-solving.

And?

To travel with words is always an adventure—one that you can come by fairly easily, without packing a single bag or booking a single flight.

Emily Dickinson, who spoke the language of ships instead of planes, once told us “There is no Frigate like a Book To take us Lands away.” That is true of every good story. But beneath the story are the words. And under the words are histories, cultures, perspectives, even sheer music. All of that can conspire to take us away before we even reach the end of the page.

So, this is your invitation:

come away, to new lands, with Words to Travel By.
